Based in Shropshire, P.S. Ridgway Ltd is a family firm with fifty years of experience in the transport industry. Starting out in the careful handling of textile products the company has since developed and extended to supplying self-drive plant from small plant up to forty-five ton excavators. To transport this wide range of machinery the firm has three trucks, one of them being the Scania T Cab modelled here which has become well known as'T Rex' which joined Ridgway Rentals in 2003. Originally fitted with a King GTS 60, 'T Rex' can carry excavators up to thirty-five tons. In 2007 the trailer to the cab was changed to a Faymonville five axle extendable that enabled the vehicle to carry forty-five ton excavators. 'T Rex' and driver Ben, who has been at the wheel from new, can often been seen across the UK and have recently covered their millionth kilometre together.
