Frequently Asked Questions for Diecast Devon

How can I pre-order a Corgi model?

It is easy to pre-order a Corgi model from us!

1. Find the model Search the Corgi-Pre-Order section for the models you want. Follow this link to see it. Corgi Models Pre-Order Section

2. Add the model to your cart. Just select the product you want to place a deposit on and add it to your cart. The price of the model when it is released will be shown in the additional information tab, this is a guaranteed price we will not increase or decrease that price prior to the release of the model.
PLEASE NOTE: If you want the model to be shipped as soon as possible please place the deposit for only one model per order.
If you want to save postage and have your whole order shipped together then order all of the required models together.
Please remember deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable unless the model is cancelled by Corgi.

3. Proceed to the checkout Go through the checkout as for a normal purchase, you will not be charged postage when placing a pre-order, the postage will be charged once your order is ready to ship.
To find out how much the postage would be just add a similar sized product to your basket and get a postage quote for it. Please be extra careful when filling in your details as an incorrect email address and phone number will make it impossible for us to contact you.

4. Wait for the model(s) to be released This is the hardest part, you will have to wait for Corgi to release your model, or if you have ordered more than one model in one order you will have to wait for them all to be released. It gets even worse, the release dates quoted on our website are preliminary dates, where possible Corgi sticks to them, but due to unforseen circumstances and production issues these dates can slip by many months. We will update the release dates when we are informed of changes by Corgi, but if the dates come and go without the model being released please send an enquiry through the discussion tab on the relevant product page, and we will try and get an updated release date from Corgi.

5. When its released. The actual release dates announced by Corgi are usually 'Week Commencing" dates, these are the dates that Corgi send the models out to us, so it will be a few days after that that we receive them from Corgi. We will then send you an email with the total balance to pay, this will include shipping by the cheapest possible method, but if you would prefer us to send it by the quickest available method just let us know. You will have a choice of sending a Paypal payment, or phoning through your card details.

7. Wait a bit more. Not long now, once we have your payment we will ship your order straightaway and you shoud receive it next working day.
Also at the bottom of the screen you will be shown similar display cases that are available from stock, which may be cheaper.

8. Arrival day. Once you have your new model it is time to put it on display, and tell your friends about the bargain you got from Diecast Devon. If you want to enhance it a bit, why not get a display case for it, we have a few on our website here, or you can visit Acrylic Display Cases for a larger choice.

How long will it take to get my pre-ordered model?

That depends on Corgi, as soon as it is released and you have paid the balance we will ship it to you, but delays can occur on the releases of models for many different reasons, which are beyond our control, and sometimes even beyond the control of Corgi themselves.

What if I receive the model and it has been damaged in transit?

This is extremely unlikely, but it does happen very occasionally, if this happens to your Corgi model then please contact us by email and we will arrange for it to be replaced free of charge. We will need you to send a photo of the damage and of the packaging. If when you receive the model the packaging has obvious damage then please sign for the parcel as damaged.

The model I want says it is unavailable, what does that mean?

This is bad news, it means that not only are we out of stock, Corgi are out of stock as well. Most of the Corgi models we sell are Limited Edition, this means once Corgi have sold them all they wont make any more. Now the model you want is going to be a bit more difficult to find, but not impossible. On the product page will be some links for you to use to help search for the product on eBay or Amazon.
