The Land Rover was originally created by the Rover car company as a quick way of getting production moving after the war. Sadly Rover ceased to make cars in 2005 but that initial stop-gap has inspired a successful and continuing family of vehicles which currently runs to five basic types. This two-model set depicts the first and last of the Series 1 Land Rovers made: HUE 166 chassis number R-01 produced March 11th 1948 CYJ 573 chassis number 36104122 produced July 16th 1953.
