Corgi CC14106 DAF 105 – David G Davies & Sons Ltd – Glossop, Derbyshire

The company was formed in 1971 with one vehicle carrying containers of tiles and packing cases. By the mid 1980s, David G Davies & Sons Ltd had moved into food distribution. At their highest level they were running 22 vehicles. In 2009, Davies & Sons are still delivering food and packaging materials and plastics. At the start of the business, the Glossop based firm ran Seddon’s, Atkinson’s and Leyland’s before moving onto ERF’s until the turn of the millennium. In 2009 the whole fleet was updated to DAF’s and currently run 9 105’s, 1 LF 45’s, 1 MAN Rigid and 15 Montracon Tautliners.
