Product Description
Guy Harold Radford, the creator of Radford Coachworks, first set about designing an estate car conversion for the Bentley MkVI in 1948, christening the conversion ‘Countryman’. Such was the quality of the conversion that it took first prize at the coveted concours delegance at Cannes. After a number of management buy-outs, the Coachbuilders set to work on the conversion that they would become synonymous with, the Radford Mini de Ville. Throughout the Swinging Sixties, Mini conversions continued to account for the majority of the company’s turnover including famous specials for the likes of Peter Sellers and Paul McCartney. The latter-day Radford Mini de Ville S, modeled here, wears the same number plate as Harold Radford’s early Countryman demonstrators.
