Cardiff Bus can trace its origins to 1902 when electric trams were first introduced. The Cardiff fleet has always had a mixture of single and double decks with a wide variety of both chassis and body types. The traditional Cardiff livery of crimson and cream was replaced in 1972 by a then trendy orange and white scheme, which in turn was replaced in 1999 with the Burges blue and cream livery. The fleet now consists of 13 double decks, with a variety of minibuses and single decks that are all mainly Alexander, Dennis or Scania. Cardiff bus operates across a 13 million km area including the eastern half of the Vale of Glamorgan and carries over 27 million passengers per year. Dual destination / split run.
