Situated on the edge of the Northumberland National Park is the small town of Wooler, the base for a number of haulage contractors over the years. The most well-known of these would surely be Redpath Brothers, who, not surprisingly given their location, specialised in agricultural transport.

Their vehicles could be seen throughout the country transporting livestock to market, or moving hay, straw, animal feed and farm machinery. Later vehicles carried the slogan ‘Anyware Anywhere’ in two scrolls across the front, emphasising their flexible approach to the demands of road transport.

This model of a Guy Warrior 8 Wheeler, complete with sack load, demonstrates that flexibility as it could just as easily be seen with a demountable livestock box. In later years, Redpath became part of the Ferguson Transport Group.
