A. W. Jenkinson Forest Products started business in 1966 and expanded from tractor and trailers into haulage when their first Scania was purchased in 1986. Built on the back of a growing sawmill industry, the fleet progressed from tippers to walking floor trailers and now includes chip liners, timber trucks and bulk blowers. Deliveries vary from farms to chipboard factories, fertiliser plants to paper mills, garden centres to nurseries, equestrian stables to mushroom farms; in fact anywhere that has a requirement for bulk recyclables, biomass, or any of the numerous high volume products currently in demand.
With the growth in industries such as recycling, biomass power generation, agriculture and forestry, the fleet size has increased to in excess of 400 solely owned outfits with the addition of over 250 sub-contractors covering the whole of the U.K and into France and Belgium. A. W. Jenkinson Forest Products moves an average of over 1,200 loads per day. These are organised through several transport offices up and down the country, manned by their professional staff. The business thrives on reliability, efficiency and believes in customer service.
