Dan McNally, who was the original founder of Dan McNally Ltd, commenced business in 1958 and contracted in the fields of agriculture and rail decommissioning projects. Only in the early 1970s did Dan McNally eventually diversify into the Crane Hire Industry and in 1984 the company was incorporated as Dan McNally Ltd. In 1996 the company came under new management which allowed the integration of heavy ‘cranage’ and specialist lift engineering services.

Since 2000 the company has expanded rapidly, helped by the construction boom of the time and they have been involved in several prestigious projects such as the Spire Project, Boyne Bridge on the M1, Croke Park and many other infrastructure projects. Today Dan McNally Ltd operate cranes up to a capacity of 1200T and their success has taken the company throughout Europe and as far afield as Australia and the Falkland Islands.
