With 137 years of history Robert Wynn and Sons has set a reputation of pioneering developments within the haulage industry. The business was formed in 1863 by Robert Wynn and set out to compete with the traditional methods of heavy load transportation; canal and railway. 60 years on Robert incorporated the firm as Robert Wynn and Sons Ltd. Robert died in the November of that year leaving his five sons to run the business, doing so until successive amalgamations saw the name gradually disappear in the 1980s. However, in 2000 the Robert Wynn and Sons name was restored as a subsidiary company responsible for the delivery and creation of specialist equipment for the nation’s waterway network.
