Corgi VA11602 Peugeot 309 MK2 1.9 GTI – Goodwood Special Edition

A more luxurious version of the sweet handling and rapid 309GTI, the ‘Goodwood’ was launched in 1991 and just 398 examples were sold in the UK, so survivors are rare. All ‘Goodwoods’ were mechanically identical to the 309GTI and were finished in Peugeot’s Roland Garros Green. They all featured a full leather interior, silver inserts on the bumpers, anthracite/silver alloy wheels and are easily distinguished by green ‘Goodwood GTI’ badges (an outline map of the Goodwood racing circuit picked out in silver under the red ‘GTI’ emblem) positioned on both doors, the tailgate and the centre cap of the wooden Momo steering wheel.
