W.D. Cormack and Sons was founded in 1959 and originally operated from a small site in Huna near John O’Groats starting out with just 3 vehicles. In 1985, the company moved to their current site, which resides at The Ha, Durran, Castletown. This site is six miles from the town of Thurso. The company now operates 12 vehicles, all DAFs except for one 7.5 tonne MAN. Livestock haulage is the core of the business although general haulage work is undertaken as well. The company is owned by Alexander Cormack, and his three sons James, Bruce and Stuart.
