M E Edwards was founded in 1960 by Robin Edwards and his mother, Marjorie Elizabeth, hauling lime and other agricultural products, before progressing to hauling livestock. Based at Wern Farm, Llanfair Caereinon, Powys, mid-Wales, the company is now run by Richard Edwards, Robin’s brother, with its main business hauling livestock with some additional general haulage as well. They have a modern fleet of Scania and DAF units, which are maintained in-house, and work well with the Houghton’s trailers to carry sheep and cattle to and from destinations across the UK.
